To the far south and very much to the west, where the sun sets last over a glistening ocean of every shade of green and blue, Sennen Cove looks out over Whitesands Bay of warmed Gulf-Stream waters which belong to the Atlantic.
Home to dolphins, seals, many different birds and Shanti the wandering dog.
Shanti lives with his owner an old fisherman who still loves to watch the sea through his binoculars from his home on the cliff. The old man makes notes of everything he sees, from boats and birds to marine creatures. When his owner has his daily nap this is when Shanti comes into his own and creeps off on his lone walkabouts around Sennen.
On his travels he passes many of the well known and beautiful sights of this magnificent coastal village and even manages to steal a pasty when no one is looking.
And when his owner wakes up Shanti is always back in his place by the old man's side.
Come and join Shanti as he wanders around Sennen. Let him show you the magic of this beautiful and enchanting place.
