Janeta Hevizi qualified as a primary
school teacher in 1992. She has taught in Further Education also. Despite many
years of studying for different careers Janeta's only ambition is to be
a writer and especially a playwright. Janeta has been writing plays for
a few years as a hobby but hopes to have her plays staged in Cornwall one day.
Two years ago Janeta had the idea for a cosy story set in Sennen, near Land's End. Especially for children it also has great appeal to many adults and dog lovers alike.
Janeta always dreamed that her Shanti dog story would sit next to such classics as 'The Mousehole Cat' and 'The Merrymaid of Zennor', and this dream has come true for her this month as sales of the book have gone beyond all expectations.

Jo was brought up in North Cornwall
and lives with her family north of Sennen. She has a 4 year old daughter and 7
year old son. She followed a career in science for many years and has a PhD in
Zoology, but her creative artistic side is very strong and that is what she hopes
to pursue in the future.
